Good day gamers,

Just wanted to run a quick note out about a loss for our gaming community here on Long Island.

Maurice Thompson, who was a regular at my first game store, Game Table, and who regularly visited many other stores on Long Island has passed away.

There was a huge outpouring of pictures, stories and love on Facebook.

I got the impression from the posts and also from my own experience, that not everyone saw eye to eye with Moe, but we all recognized his love of gaming and of getting people together. He became a central part of several game nights throughout the years.

I remember specifically him running a Werewolf event at Game Table with over 15? players. That was fun to watch.

I purposely didn’t include any pictures or links in this post, because I don’t have permission to do so.

If you knew Moe, you won’t forget him.

If you didn’t know Moe, just know that he is one of the gaming promoters on Long Island that we have lost.

Let’s pick up the torch of Moe and promote all the types of gaming on Long Island. Let’s make the community bigger and stronger than it once was.

Keep Moe’s memory alive and play your next game in his honor.

I’d love to hear your stories of Moe or the game you played for him.

Take care of yourself, love one another, teach each other a game, get together when we can and enjoy your life.
