“Making friends and uniting communities one wood for sheep trade at a time.”
Good day gamers,
On Tuesday, 4/18/2023, Game Master Ginger and myself ran Catan for Teenager Board Game Night at the Bethpage Libary.
We had four players and none of them had played Catan before. I set up the game using the suggested new player set-up.
All the players basically grabbed the concept of the game. It ended very dramatically with the player having the least number of settlements keep upgrading them every other turn or two as his strategy. They also held the Largest Army card and a Victory Point development card.
The funniest part was a robber sitting on an ‘8’ property that had a city and two settlements on it and an ‘8’ was rolled four times out of five dice rolls.
It was fun to see young minds wrap their minds around this new classic, Catan.
If you have yet to play Catan, contact me and I’ll try and teach you one day.
Have a great day!
See you soon,
– Game Master Dave
Foxy Joan, “David Dear, you forgot your iced tea in the car again. You must hydrate.”

Snuggle Bnny, “Why did they trade away da sheep? They are nice. Can I get a sheep Boo Boo?”
Chester, “Chester.”
