“Making friends and uniting communities one water tile at a time.”

Good day gamers,

  • Still playing Ardennes ’44 on Vassal.
  • Getting another Dominions 5 game set up with friends. The other one ended with us losing the Co-Op game. If interested in watching videos of it LIVE, give me a Follow on my Twitch Channel here.
  • Going back to work at the City Carrier Academy tomorrow after more than a year.
  • Just got a piece of corn chips stuck in my windpipe this morning. That was NOT pleasant.

Coronavirus: So…just as everyone is getting excited for vaccine, the Summer, and businesses reopening, the number of infections is staying stagnant and has stopped declining. Why? Well, probably because of people relaxing taking precautions, variants in the area and a whole host of other reasons. Please keep wearing that mask and being careful. We need to see you sitting across from us on at a board gaming table later this year! Stay safe! Get the vaccine!

Terraforming Mars: So, last night I was looking to hang out with friends and also stream. We tried HOI4, but it didn’t work out. We were going to stream Stellaris, but my friend Rich wasn’t able to join us. So, we decided on Terraforming Mars. I’ve only played the game like two or three times before and since I streamed it on Twitch and said I don’t mind ‘Backseat Gamers’, three ‘advisors’ helped me play for the first half of the game or so. It took a little longer and I want to thank Bill and Steve, my opponents, for being patient with me. Anyhow, Bill and Steve were doing crazy combos, gaining points and leaving me in the dust. I was trying to figure out what to do. Even with the ‘advisors’ help, I felt like I was still behind. However, one of the combos I did have was card draw and I had a large hand of cards. I then noticed that a lot of the cards I owned had victory points on them. I just started playing cards to get me victory points. I ended up with 25+ victory points from just my cards. Amazing. I was sure I was going to lose. I hardly terraformed Mars. And yet…when all the points were calculated in the end, I won by a large margin. 84/65/62 points. Wow! This game is cool. There are lots of ways to win.

I give Terraforming Mars ‘8 Water Tiles’! Check it out! Ask any questions about it, if you are unfamiliar with it.

Foxy Joan, “David Dear, you need to drink more water to keep hydrated. That way, you wouldn’t have gotten the corn chip caught in your throat. I once had a chicken bone caught there and I went to the stream to drink water to solve the issue.”

Lamby Pie, “Way to go dude on that Terra M game. You are da bomb. I was gonna tell you to drop more forests, but obviously you had everything under control.”

Snuggle Bunny, “Boo boo, where are da corn chips? If I eat them, then you don’t choke. Right Boo boo?”

Chester, “Chester.”
