Good day gamers,

We are now into 2024. Our FATDOG planning will start sometime in the Spring. Since Legendary Realms is closing, we will need to find a hall or expand to another one or two games stores. Let’s see what happens.

Happy Thanksgiving! We wish you and your family the best during this holiday season.

Legendary Realms Update: Online reservations for tables and attendance is currently closed. However, if your friend booked a table, or you signed up for a posted game, just come down and pay the $10 at the register on Friday and head right to the table to play your game.

Legendary Realms Update: There is limited ‘Open Gaming’ space. It’s best to join a scheduled game that is looking for players, but we will also do our best to accommodate walk-in guests. We do have some space, just not a lot. Sign up for posted games HERE.

Cosmic Comics Update: We still have plenty of space at the Cosmic Comics location in Baldwin. You can still reserve a table, post a game you would like to play and we will try and find you players, join one of the posted games after arriving, or just come down for ‘Open Gaming’. You can pay your entry fee of $5 at the counter as you walk in.

FATDOG (Friday After Thanksgiving Day of Gaming) is this year on Friday, 11/24/2023!

Every year, local gamers gather to play games on the day after Thanksgiving. It’s our way of creating community and being thankful for our friends and the games that keep us together.

FATDOG started more than twenty years ago by our founder Harvey Mossman and it has traditionally been a day for fans of wargaming to play the larger, heavier, strategic simulation games. The event started in Harvey’s basement, but as attendance grew it was moved to hotels and eventually game stores.

It’s current show runner is David VanderWerf, known locally as ‘Game Master Dave’ from Game Master Games.

For 2023, we are excited to expand from last year’s Legendary Realms in Lindenhurst, NY to also be run at Cosmic Comics and Games in Baldwin.

At both locations, we will have a point of contact, tables, raffles, drinks, and snacks.  Outside food is allowed.

At both locations you will be able to reserve tables, post a game you need players for, or sign-up for posted games.

Though traditionally, FATDOG had mostly wargames posted and played, all types of games are welcome to be taught, run, and played.
