Good day gamers,

JoCo Cruise Part 2: So, after talking to a bunch of people that I was on the JoCo Cruise last week, I have been learning that so many people don’t know who Jonathan Coulton is, who the cruise is named after. Well, for many years he worked as a coder and he was also a musician. Sometime in the early 2000s he quit his job and started a career as a full-time musician and accepted a challenge to write one song a week for 52 weeks. He ended up writing some awesome, funny songs. Click below to check out one of those songs. I’ll post more as time goes by and I explain more about JoCo. Code Monkey.

Hearts of Iron 4: So, while on the cruise, there were a few times I got a chance to play Hearts of Iron 4, which is a World War II simulation game. It’s one of my favorite PC games and is available on Steam as well as from the Microsoft store. It’s massively complicated, but I like the history and the strategy behind the game. If you are interested in learning more about it, please contact me. As one of my scheduled game nights was cancelled, I got a chance to teach HOI4 online to my friend Bill and I had a great time. More information about the game here.

The Island of Doctor Lucky: On the JoCo Cruise, Ginger and I got a swag bag with a bunch of cool little things in it to include a copy of the game, The Island of Doctor Lucky. Last night Ginger and I played it and we had some fun. It’s sort of part puzzle, part strategy game and has some very unique game mechanics. Not sure I have completely figured it out yet, but it was interesting at least. Rated 6.7 on Board Game Geek. Check it out here. I’m sure I’ll be talking about this on my Wednesday night Facebook LIVE show on Game Master Games FB page. Check it out. 10pm.

Over Coffee: If you don’t know about it yet, please join me and Rich on Over Coffee, a LITabletop Twitch show, on every other Monday morning. We had our show yesterday. We talk games and almost any other topics. However, in light of the Covid-19 situation, Rich and I decided to do some more shows, because a lot of people are staying home from work, kids are home, and a lot of game nights have been cancelled. So, come check us out! For the time being we will be streaming on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 6:30am. You can find us here. Don’t forget to follow and hit the notification bell.
