“Making friend and uniting communities one museum trip at a time.”
Good day gamers,
Ginger and I were recently in Seattle, WA for a wedding and we visited the Museum of Pop Culture. We had a great time and here are some highlights in no particular order:
- The shape of the building makes it an architectural wonder and makes all of the museum spaces weird shapes.
- I have recently finished a class in Rock and Roll History at Empire State College and one of my reports was on the ‘grunge’ movement. I saw a whole Nirvana display at the museum and watched the entire “Nirvana Unplugged” from MTV back in the early 90s. This was great.
- There was a Jimi Hendrix room, a Hip Hop exhibit, and hundreds of guitars.
- There was also a cool sci-fi room with movie and TV memorabilia and costumes as well as a Horror room. I’ll show pictures in some upcoming posts.
- There was little sound booths too where you could play a real guitar, drum set, or use a professional microphone for vocals.
Probably our favorite exhibit was the fantasy exhibit. There were artifacts from Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Dark Crystal, and several other films.
I have tons more pictures too.
See you soon!
