OctaCon 7, October 3 & 4, 2020: It’s almost October again and for the seventh year in a row, I will be running OctaCon, which for the last five years was at the Bethpage Library. The Bethpage Library is once again sponsoring us this year as well, but it will be a virtual convention. I’ll be running a bunch of games on Board Game Arena and we will have some Library programming as well as RPGs and an Escape Room. Watch for details on the schedule here, on this website. I’ll be making a tab with the schedule very shortly. We will be running most games on Zoom or Board Game Arena and coordinate it all by using Discord. See you soon!!!
Learn/Play a Game with Game Master Dave for $5: Yes, that is correct, I will teach you a game, at least now virtually, for just $5. Why just $5? Well, I love gaming and I don’t want to break anyone’s bank. Just getting people together, especially in times like this, is super important. I’ve got a full schedule, so the $5 is just to hold the place on my calendar. Tips are appreciated, but not necessary. Since I posted this on my website, I’ve gotten great responses and I’ve taught several games to several different groups of people with some of them me meeting them for the very first time. This has been great fun for me and from the feedback I have gotten, great fun for the players too. Try it once, if you want to. Send me an email at Dave@GameMasterGames.com and let’s game!
Snuggle Bunny: So, you have met Foxy and Lambie, so allow me to introduce Snuggle Bunny. Snuggle Bunny called out to me from a department store shelf and he wanted to find a new home, so I bought him for $20 and took him home to Ginger. Foxy says, “Thank you so very much for bringing Snuggle Bunny into our lives and the next time you want to bring home another animal, please consult with the feminine persuasions of the household, David Dear.” I knew that Foxy, Lambie and Ginger would just love Snuggle Bunny when he came to live with us. Snuggle Bunny is a little challenging to handle, but his heart is always in the right place. We love him, right Foxy? Right Foxy? Foxy? Where did she go…hmmm… Ginger and I say that Snuggle Bunny is the best $20 I ever spent.
Thank you everyone for making it to the end of another Game Master Dave’s Dispatch. We do hope you enjoyed it. Give yourself 100 XP and until we meet again across the internet, keep your dice dry, your pre-generated characters ready and your local conventions strong!
- Game Master Dave
Foxy, “David Dear, the pictures you chose are not showing my best side. You must confer with the fox before spreading electronic artwork throughout the forest.”
Lambie, “Yo dudes, you can send me five smacks to play a game with me also! Ditto on the Davey’s posting.”
Snuggle Bunny, “Dat was funny wen Chester got himself stuck in da game. Not so funny when Foxy welled at us when after we woke up Mama.”
