Good day gamers,
Lots going on as usual!
- Playing Dominions 5 on Steam, both a public game where I’m about to lose and I just started a competitive game with my friends Bill and Rich.
- Just ran a D&D game for four people and we had a lot of fun. It was our first session of Lost Mine of Phandelver. This was a paid event. Yes, you can book me to teach and play games with you. Just email me at Dave@GameMasterGames.com. Only $5!
- Been playing a lot of games on Board Game Arena. Terra Mystica, Voyages of Marco Polo, Roll for the Galaxy and more… My username over there is: Game Master Dave
- Been streaming on Twitch on my own Channel: GMGDave and on Long Island Tabletop’s Twitch Channel: LITabletop. Please Follow both of them by clicking on link and pressing the ‘Follow’ button! Your Follow really helps out a lot. If you don’t want notifications, you can press the ‘Notification’ bell and turn them off/on.
- Played a great game of Tank Duel on Vassal. Fun game. Click on the links to learn more about the game.
OctaCon 7, 2020 Review: OctaCon, due to the Coronavirus pandemic went virtual like so many gaming conventions in 2020. Many thanks to the Bethpage Library, LITabletop, Cosmic Comics & Games and all the GMs and players that participated. Overall, it was a success.
Attendance was lower than expected. It was a beautiful Fall day and as usual, we got out most of our advertising late. However, those that did attend, had so much fun. We actually got amazing feedback from multiple attendees. That is what all the work is for, right? To help facilitate people meet each other, learn something new and have a great time. So, it was a big success even with lower attendance.
Some of the best events were:
- The opening show with me and Ginger on the LITabletop Twitch Channel. We had a lot of fun with that event and you can still see it for the next week. Go check it out.
- The Board Game Design panel with Erik Fox-Jackson, Zach Connelly and Laura Erwin. It was great. Don’t miss it. It can also be found on the LITabletop Twitch Channel.
- The Call of Cthulhu RPG run by Anna was a success and all the players had a great time.
- Dee Dee’s Roll/Flip and Write games on her Twitch Channel were well attended and a lot of fun was had. Follow her on her Twitch Channel.
- The Escape Room had some traction as well as board games.
We do hope we can return to the Bethpage Library next year and I do hope you join us for our next event.
Thank you so much for joining us for another Game Master Dave Semi-Daily Dispatch. Give yourself 100XP and until we meet again across the internet, keep your mice dry, your keyboard ready and your Twitching Strong!
See you soon!
- Game Master Dave
Foxy, “David Dear, I did not see you hydrate enough during the convention. Diet Coke is not water. I am disappointed in you. You must take care of yourself, so you can watch the children when I go visit Vermont.”
Lamby, “Cool yo. That BG panel was dope. The BlindIRL Twitch guy you found was cool too. Had a great time. Keep up the good work, bro. Later.”
Snuggle Bunny, “Wat is dat Cathulu game? It sounded scarwy. Can I play? And where did Mama put da choclat wit da suger?”
Chester, “Chester.”
