“Making friend and uniting communities one thank you at a time.”

Good day gamers,

Thank you to all the veterans out there that sacrificed so much of their time and energy to serve their country.

An equally large thank you to the families, communities, friends, and work associates that also sacrificed time with their loved ones, so that their loved ones can serve their country.

As a veteran myself, I know from personal experience, that being away at training or deployment was very hard on my family. Not only was there one less person in the household to share the burden of daily life, but that person was not there to offer emotional and loving support for all of those small and big incidents that are important to attend to. A big thank you to my family for supporting me.

I did sacrifice a lot by joining the service and I truly appreciate those that have told me, “Thank you for your service.” Thank you for saying so. I fully appreciate my own Mother that calls me every Veteran’s Day to remind me of how proud she is of me. Thank you Mom.

I recently joined the American Legion, so this will be just my second Veteran’s Day ceremony outside the front doors of my Legion hall. The nationwide ceremonial recognition of Veteran’s Day will be at 11:11am this morning. Why? Because that was the end of formal hostilities for World War I, on November 11, 11:11am in 1918.

Thank you to all those veterans out there. I hope you get a chance to do something interesting today and maybe even salute a flag.

If you are veteran and you have adverse feelings about anything, there is support groups for you. Heck, you could join my American Legion or another veteran organization. Reach out to me at Dave@GameMasterGames.com and I’ll see what I can do.

See you soon!
