“Making friends and uniting communities one gaming event at a time.”
Good day gamers,
- Just had a very successful board game night at the Bethpage Library. 20 people attended. It was good to see my friends Bill, Rich, and Sarah again. Three ladies that have never tried these types of games came. Some people from another gaming group attended for the first time. It seemed like everyone had a great time.
- I just finished an essay paper for my Empire State College class on Warfare in the Western World. I’ll put it on this dispatch at some point. The paper was about logistics.
- I saw an article about how poorly Russian equipment has been maintained over the years. Evidence of this is showing up in Ukraine. I hope to do a post about this. If found it fascinating.
- We look forward to an ending of the Russian invasion of Ukraine as soon as possible. Peace to all those affected. Peace to the families and loved ones of those that have been lost. Peace to world.
What is with all the googly eyes on the JoCo Cruise?
I’m not too sure I know how it all started, but it seems that on every cruise, something happens and that joke carries over to all the following years. For example, Paul Sabourin, one of the comedian musicians and administrators of the cruise, has what is called morning announcements. It always starts, “Good morning students.” And everyone else replies, “Good morning Principal Sabourin.” I have no idea why this is done. It has to be a joke from a previous cruise. I have not attended all the cruises. This year was their 11th one. The googly eyes must also be a joke from previously.
Here are some pictures that I took on the cruise…
Anyhow…everything on the ship is a joke. And the googly eyes everywhere added to the hilarity of the trip.
I do hope that you check out the cruise one day if you want to enjoy music, comedy, authors, karaoke, shows, games, buffet dining, drinks, destination locations, fun, making friends, laughs, swimming, etc…
Thanks for making to the end of another Game Master Dave’s Dispatches. Give yourself 100 XP! And until we meet again across the pirate seas, keep you games dry, your googly eyes ready, and your stomach strong from the rocky boat.
See you soon!
- Game Master Dave
Foxy Joan, “I see that a feline has some googly eyes. Foxes will never be seen with googly eyes. Our eyesight is superior.”
Lamby Pie, “Dude, that boating trip looks amaze! I’m gonna save for a ticketo for next year. Can’t wait to see the googly kitties.”
Snuggle Bunny, “Boo boo, Mama said she is watching the kittens in the backyard. Does that mean Mama has googly eyes?”
Chester, “Chester.”
One response to “What’s with the Googly Eyes JoCo? and more…”
Dave haven’t seen you in a longtime, used to play magic at the Mineola store in 2011 or there about.
I was on the second cruise and the googly eyes were something Ann Wheaton started even before the cruise, I believe she actually did a presentation during the cruise about it.
